Chris Columbus to Remake Korean Movie "Hello Ghost"
The big news in Hollywood today is that Chris Columbus - director of such hits as "Home Alone", "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" - will remake the Korean movie,"Hello Ghost". Columbus will also produce with his partners in 1492 Pictures - Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.
TheWrap.com describes the movie as being about a "a young man who is haunted by four ghosts after a suicide attempt. The ghosts continue to haunt the man until he helps each of them fulfill a wish".

"After watching 'Hello Ghost' I was immediately struck by the film's ability to mix comedy, drama and complex emotional themes", Columbus said in a written statement, the website reported. "Its strong universal storyline translates to any culture, and I'm looking forward to bringing a version of this wonderful story to the English-speaking audience".
Kyungik Jang, VP of Korea's Next Entertainment World, stated: "We are thrilled to have Chris Columbus as the director for the 'Hello Ghost' remake. We have gladly accepted his offer knowing that he is the guru of family comedy films, and someone who has a solid fan base throughout all ages."
