Korean movies won at Fantasia Int'l Film Festival in Canada

"The Unjust" and "Night Fishing" won at this year's Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada which was held from July 14 to August 7.

The festival announced that Ryoo Seung-wan's hardboiled action film "The Unjust" was awarded both best screenplay prize and best actor prize, and then Cannes winner, Park Chan-wook's short film "Night Fishing" won the silver prize for best short film.

During this festival there were several other Korean films screened including "Battlefield Heroes", "Bleak Night", "Foxy Fesival", "Haunters", "Hello Ghost", "Invasion of Alien Bikini" and "Petty Romance".

In 1996. The first Fantasia International Film Festival launched in Montreal to grasp the trend of the various cutting-edge genre cinema from all over the world.
